Just a little visit to the President's house...

We were so blessed again this year to get tickets to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. Last year, we carried the twins in Bjorns and I think they slept the whole time. This year, they were a bit more active…perhaps too active as Emma Kate was willing to run up to just about anyone and make friends J It was super hot, so as you can see from the pics, we were all a little sweaty. We had fun nonetheless and it was certainly a wonderful memory we will cherish.

They wouldn't let us get too close!

Thank you Jesus

Here Comes Peter Cottontail!

We're ready for Easter here in the Farrell home! I gave the twins their Easter baskets a little early (thanks for the baskets Mimi and Pops!) and filled them with empty plastic eggs providing hours of endless fun.

Just waiting for the Easter bunny...happy Easter week everyone!

Coloring Our World

A few months ago, I pulled out a coloring book and some crayons and it was a bit of a disaster. We came away with mouths FULL of colored crayon and frustrated babes because I just refused to let them eat the crayons and rip all the paper. Fast forward to just recently when I pulled our materials back out and....

SUCCESS!!

Our finished product...proudly displayed on the fridge :)

Hayride

This past Sunday, my sweet friend Meredith invited us to her house for a neighborhood hayride led by Clydesdale horses (ps- how cute is that neighborhood??!!). The twins have really gotten into farm animals so it was fun letting them see the horses up close--and even give them a pet! Such a fun afternoon :)

Beautiful horses

Hug it Out

Pure Joy. Two words to describe the feeling I got this weekend when my twins looked at each other...and decided it was time to start showing some affection. I mean could there be anything sweeter? Of course, now Emma Kate just wants to hug her brother ALL the time (and he isn't quite digging the idea) but it brought tears to my eyes to see my precious babes embrace one another with giggles and smiles. Who doesn't love a good hug?
